How to Choose The Right Palette for Your Brand
First impressions count.
This is especially true when it comes to your brand since your brand color is likely to be the first thing that your clients see.
Colors convey feelings, emotions and certain information.
Which is why they are very powerful in helping people to decide whether or not they want to get to know you more.
So how do you start with choosing the right palette for your brand?
1. CREATE A MOOD BOARD.
Make a collage of random photos that "spark joy". You'll be surprised to see there's a common theme. But also be mindful of color psychology! For healthcare, blue is a common favorite because blue connotes trust.
2. EXTRACT THE COLORS.
Extract the colors from the collage you've just made using Adobe Color.
Adobe Color is a free software that allows you to extract colors from an image which provides color codes instantly. Once you're happy with it, screenshot and then save.
3. CHECK YOUR COLORS FOR CONTRAST.
Contrast is important for readability, and good contrast means the colors are well delineated from each other. Choose a mix of light and dark tones.
4. DECIDE WHICH COLOR GOES WHERE.
This is especially important when creating your website or social media posts.
Choose 2 light/neutral shades for background.
1 Main color - as headline or color block, 1 complementary and 1 Accent color for CTA buttons.
Once you have them all, you're all set!
Always remember that COLORS CAN MAKE OR BREAK YOUR BRAND
